Tris and his family face many perils in their day to day lives; attack by large predators, accident, and illness may happen at any time. However, sometimes it is their fellow men who threaten their safety.

The sun sinks low under slowly darkening skies.  A crackling blaze provides welcome comfort at the center of our camp.  Emerging from the gloom, a group of men step into the circle of light that surrounds our fire.  As we rise to greet them, one of the men speaks, “We have been looking for you.” There is malice in that voice.
